My early idea for this blog was to promote sites that showed high quality tv online… and of course that those sites be of the legal variety. I was perusing Digg today when I came across this article from the New York Times. The article talks about the success shows such as Arrested Development are enjoying on the US Based site known as Hulu. In fact, it is consistently ranked in the top 3 on the site.

If Web streaming had been widespread a few years ago, Mr. Hurwitz said, perhaps “Arrested Development” could have stayed on the air. He also suggested that the show’s streaming success could enhance prospects for a film based on the series.

I’ve read stuff like this before, and never paid it too much attention, mostly the stories talk about the benefits to our American friends that get to enjoy these while we here in the great white north are shut out in the cold….The Andy Griffith Show

Well, I thought I would follow a lead in the article that talked about The Andy Griffith Show having full episodes courtesy of TVLand… well, I followed the link and wammy…. it worked. I enjoyed a classic episode “Aunt Bee The Warden” and thought, I think I’ll share this… Well my friends… if you love classic 60s tv… it doesn’t get any better than The Andy Griffith Show… check it out HERE. And the best part is… you can watch from Canada!! (at least for now)

**Update** July 27, 2008
TVLand has added a fair number of other programs including the Beverly Hillbillies, Gunsmoke and Hogans Heroes.  I have created a new listing HERE of all the shows you can now watch online at TVLand.
